Mouthwash

Different rinses serve different purposes. Most people use the wrong one.

Not all mouth rinses are interchangeable. Different active ingredients target different problems, and using the wrong rinse means missing an opportunity - or using unnecessary chemicals for a problem you do not have.

For fresh breath: The Biosure Ozone Tumbler generates ozonated water on demand - a natural antimicrobial that replaces chemical-based daily rinses. It is Dr Kia's personal favourite product in the entire range.

For cavity prevention: Colgate NeutraFluor 220 is an alcohol-free fluoride rinse for patients at elevated risk of decay. This is the rinse your dentist means when they say "use a fluoride rinse."

For gum disease: Savacol and Curasept contain chlorhexidine - the gold standard antiseptic in dentistry. These are prescribed for short-term, targeted use under clinical guidance, not as everyday rinses. Curasept includes an anti-discolouration system that reduces the staining associated with chlorhexidine.

For healing: Colgate Peroxyl contains hydrogen peroxide for gentle cleansing after extractions, surgery, or oral ulceration.
